1. Which programs / tools / skills did you draw upon to create this project?
I used Adobe After Effects for the kinetic typography, Adobe Illustrator to make the text, Adobe Photoshop to edit the images, and iMovie to put it all together.
2. Were they all things that you previously mastered or do you feel like this project helped you feel more comfortable working with anything?
I was comfortable with all of the programs except After Effects. I basically had to take a crash course in animation, but it ended up working out in the end.
3. You were all born within a few years of each other, which editing trick did you use or information did you include to make your project more interesting and stand out from the rest?
The kinetic typography definitely makes it stand out. Most people used Keynote, which can get boring, but my text is always moving around. It keeps the audience interested.
4. How did you select the music, decide the order, and where to switch from song to song?
The music I selected was mostly based on my personal preference or the mood of the footage. I switched when there was a change in category or when the part of the song synced up with the next song.
5. Did you learn (or did you already know) anything interesting about the year that you were born?
Not really, because I already knew a fair amount about the history of my birth year.

Reggae Reflections
1. Which genre did you choose and why?
I chose reggae. Honestly, I would have chosen a different genre, but it was one of the best genres available.
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
I used my iMovie and Garageband skills to make this project.
3. Which tool / editing trick did you use to make your project more interesting?
I used picture in picture to show the origins of my genre, transitions, and sound effects to make the project more interesting.
4. On which sites did you find the information about your music style that you provided?
They were all dedicated reggae and rasta websites and they all had sufficient and relevant information that I could use for my project.
5. How did you decide the order and where to switch from song to song?
I decided to switch between songs after each major category in the project. I also added in song clips depending on when I talked about certain styles.

PND Culture Clip Reflections
1. Which movie did you choose and why?
I chose to make a movie about the ping pong club at Peoria Notre Dame.
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
I used my iMovie, Garageband, and filming/directing skills to make the movie appealing and interesting. I learned how to use iMovie better than I knew before.
3. Describe all subsections in your video. (Interview with coach detailing practices/season; voiceover description of program benefits; etc)
The video started out with a quote, and then it opened to a title slide. After the title slide came an introduction slide that introduced everyone with a stop motion effect. We put in a video of Forrest Gump playing ping pong, and then a deep pitched voice of me saying, "Join the ping pong club." Then we added the audio interview with Mr. Smith with pictures, text, and video as visual aids. For example, we had a video of professionals playing ping pong and of Alli walking down the hall. Immediately following Alli's clip, we had a montage of Jose and me playing our own ping pong match. This concluded with the works cited and the credits.
4. For which of these subsections were you responsible?
I was responsible for all of the subsections, mostly because of the fact that there were some features that I knew how to implement into the project that others in the group did not understand how to use. Most of this resulted in me controlling most of the project, while other members of the group helped find information to put into the video.
5. Which tool / editing trick did you use to make one or more of them more interesting?
I used slow motion to make a clip more entertaining, pitch bends to make a different-sounding voice, and voiceovers to cover up a flawed audio track.

Forrest Gump Podcast Reflections
1. Which movie did you choose and why?
I chose the movie Forrest Gump because it is a classic and one of my favorite movies.
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
I used my music recording skills and writing skills to complete this project. I already knew how to do most of it.
3. How you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation?
3. How you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation?
If someone wants to be a talk show host or a musician, this is a good place to start. In the future, the software will be producing most of the sounds instead of the hardware, so it is good to get a start on using them.
4. Where did you find your sound effects? Was it difficult to get the timing right?
4. Where did you find your sound effects? Was it difficult to get the timing right?
I found the sound effects on Youtube and I also used a preset on Garageband. It was pretty simple to get the timing right.

Storyboard Reflections
1. Which topic did you choose and why?
Our group chose Ping Pong Club because it is a unique category that seems like a fun thing to do at Peoria Notre Dame.
2. Which section were you in charge of and how did you decide who would work on what?
I was in charge of the overall layout of the presentation, most of the slides, most of the information, all of the pictures, and the works cited.
3. What skills did you use/learn in this project and how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation?
I learned how to work with a group on Google Docs to complete a project efficiently.
4. This was our first group project. Do you enjoy working in groups? What advantages do you see to working with others versus working alone? What disadvantages are there?
I enjoy working in groups, but only to a certain extent. It is usually easier to get a presentation done, but if your group consists of lazy students, most of the work gets put on one student. This makes it stressful on that student to get the work done, especially since group projects require more time and effort than individual projects.

My Interests Project
1. Which search terms did you use to find images (for the letters of your name and the images that describe you) and why?
I used "letter" search terms that were short and concise. I also put them in quotes to be able to narrow down search results to specific photos with those key words.
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
In this project, I used my creativity and picture-taking skills. I also learned how to use iPhoto to make a slideshow instead of just a gallery.
3. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation.
If i had to make a commercial in the future, this would be a basic building block. Making a professional photo gallery would also start at using these skills.
4. This was a more creative project than our first 2. Did you prefer it or the more cut and dry assignments in Word and Excel?
Yes, because it helps with learning by doing something more interactive than making basic spreadsheets. It is also more entertaining.

Charity Project Reflections
1. List the name of your business and its charity.
Business: Dave Matthews Band
Charity: Bama Works Fund
2. What skills did you use/learn in this project?
I learned how to quickly and efficiently use a mailing list from Excel, how to write a business letter, and how to format an Excel spreadsheet to implement well with Word.
3. What was the easiest part of this project? What was the most difficult part of this project?
The easiest part was bringing the mailing list into Word. It was so simple to do. The most difficult part was writing and formatting the business letter.
4. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation other than writing a charity letter.
I could use them to send wedding invitations, investment letters, and other business-related letters that require mass amounts of people to receive them.
5. Did you learn something new during this project that you did not know before? If so, what?
Yes, I learned how to use Mailing Lists. They make it very east to send letters to many different people without effort.
