My Life Project Reflections

1. Which programs / tools / skills did you draw upon to create this project?
I used Adobe After Effects for the kinetic typography, Adobe Illustrator to make the text, Adobe Photoshop to edit the images, and iMovie to put it all together.

2. Were they all things that you previously mastered or do you feel like this project helped you feel more comfortable working with anything?
I was comfortable with all of the programs except After Effects. I basically had to take a crash course in animation, but it ended up working out in the end.

3. You were all born within a few years of each other, which editing trick did you use or information did you include to make your project more interesting and stand out from the rest?
The kinetic typography definitely makes it stand out. Most people used Keynote, which can get boring, but my text is always moving around. It keeps the audience interested.

4. How did you select the music, decide the order, and where to switch from song to song?
The music I selected was mostly based on my personal preference or the mood of the footage. I switched when there was a change in category or when the part of the song synced up with the next song.

5. Did you learn (or did you already know) anything interesting about the year that you were born?
Not really, because I already knew a fair amount about the history of my birth year.
